How the personalization works

The pet portrait engraving is built inside the crystal, not on its surface. After you upload a photo at checkout, our design team reviews it specifically for pet-photo challenges — dark fur on a dark background, motion blur, bright eye flash. Our artists adjust contrast and clarity, then convert your image into a 3D engraving model. The 4K laser fires microscopic refractive points at exact depths inside the K9 glass, forming your pet's portrait with lifelike volume. What photo works best

A close-up photo of your pet's face or head-and-shoulders frame engraves with the sharpest detail. Bright natural light (a window or outdoor shot) brings out fur texture and eye highlights better than indoor lamps. The rectangle shape favors vertical orientation — a sitting or standing pose works beautifully. Action shots and wide outdoor scenes can be engraved, but the closer the framing, the more detail comes through. If you have a phone photo of your pet that you already love, send it and we'll tell you what's possible. Photos with multiple pets work in Medium and larger sizes; for single-pet portraits, any size works.

Crystal care

K9 optical crystal is scratch-resistant and water-safe. Wipe with the included microfiber cloth — a quick buff removes fingerprints. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight. Dust occasionally with the same microfiber. Deeper cleaning with a drop of dish soap in warm water will not damage the engraving. The crystal suits any indoor surface — nightstand, desk, mantel, or a quiet corner where you remember them.

Standard production is 5-7 business days from photo approval. Express production (1-2 business days) is available at checkout for pet memorial services. Orders before 9 AM PST ship next business day.
